Bruno Cantais, a professional painter based in Lyon, is registered as a contributing artist with the Maison des Artistes.
Born in 1966 in Le Havre.
Bruno Cantais explores several techniques, ranging from Raushenbergh-esque abstract expressionism to matter projections, to Pop Art collage or expressionism.
He plumbs the surface of the canvas, digging grooves that seem to open paths or sometimes fade into the fog of color. His inspiration is order and disorder, of feeling and perception, of shadow and light, of emptiness and fullness.
