Authentic old Japanese yanagiba kitchen knife with a total length of about 34 cm — a beautiful piece of craftsmanship that clearly bears signs of use and age, yet still has character and sharpness.

This traditional single-edged knife was designed for the fine slicing of fish and sashimi. The slender, long blade enables clean cuts in one motion. The blade is hand-forged and features original Japanese kanji markings, indicating artisanal production. The natural patina tells the story of years of professional use.

The knife is sharp, but the edge is not perfect due to age — something quite normal with vintage Japanese knives and easily refined further by someone with sharpening know-how.

The wooden handle also shows signs of use, which only adds to the charm. Not a modern factory knife, but a real workhorse with soul.
