A pair of bronze door plates with handles from France, dating to 1850–1900, in good used condition with small signs of age and spots.
Description from the seller
Beautiful pair of 19th-century door plates with handles in richly worked bronze, full of character and authentic appearance. These decorative door fittings feature graceful scrolls, foliate motifs, and refined details that are typical of the elegant formal language of the late 19th century.
Both pieces differ slightly in model and length (approx. 29 cm and 27 cm), which further emphasises their charm and artisanal character. The lovely patina, created by years of use, gives the whole a warm, lived-in look that only time can create.
The keyplates and ornaments are richly decorated and make this set particularly suitable for the restoration of a townhouse, historic building, or as a statement piece on a characterful interior door. Also beautiful as a decorative object in a classic or eclectic interior.
Worn in used, antique condition with normal signs of aging appropriate to their age (see photos).
A rare and atmospheric duo that radiates history and elegance.
