AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Decorative pair of massive tripod bronze pots in a classical style with original patina. Probably made as coal- or incense-burners.
The surface shows a beautiful dark brown to olive patina. On the resting surfaces, due to age, the lighter metal is visible in places.
The vessels are solidly worked and appear of high quality due to their weight and balanced proportions.
The material is cast bronze (copper alloy) with a spherical body and a movable bail handle. The vessels stand on three three-dimensionally formed animal feet in imitation of ancient models.
Shape and design are oriented toward Roman-Greek tripod vessels (tripod cauldrons), as they were popular in the late 19th century during Historicism and Neoclassicism as decorative interior pieces.
There are no relevant damages, only dirt/soiling inside the pots.
The height with the handle is 26 cm. The weight of one pot is approx. 2.5 kg.
