Description from the seller
Original chain-driven pendulum clock from South Tyrol, dating to the late 1800s. Front features fine decoration, with minor signs of aging. No parts missing, it operated regularly until eight years ago when it was detached and put away. Needs lubrication and servicing. The chains are regular with graduated weights and an additional cord used to wind the alarm, adjustable with the knurled knob on the front of the pendulum. The pendulum is present, undamaged, about 70 cm long. A bell for hourly chimes and two hammers, one for the alarm. An excellent furnishing item and companion for rustic interiors.
