Splendid vintage ashtray (or pocket-duster) in precious Murano glass, handmade with the complex Sommerso glass technique.
The piece features a vibrant color combination: an acid yellow/green base that fades into a deep turquoise blue toward the edges, all enclosed in a thick layer of clear glass.
Rare Feature:
The glass contains uranium dioxide, which gives the piece extraordinary bright green fluorescence when exposed to UV light, as visible in the photos. A must-have for Uranium Glass collectors.
Period: 1960s / 1970s.
