Cask number 001 of the Ardnahoe Distillery was filled in November 2018. The distillery is located in the northeast of the island and is the ninth whisky distillery on the island. Powerful peat smoke aromas Ardnahoe whisky was distilled with soft, peated Islay water from Loch Ardnahoe using two traditional worm tubs. It was made with barley malted in Port Ellen with a phenol content of 40 ppm. Aroma: Warm shortbread and baked apples are complemented by robust peat smoke. Taste: Creamy vanilla custard blends with ginger-lemon soda and freshly baked apple pie. Aftertaste: Long-lasting with strong smoke.
