Skepa is a French artist born in 1978, painter and sculptor, co-founder of the BAFO movement.
He graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, and began his artistic practice with graffiti alongside Jone Hopper in the early 1990s.
His work is rooted in a free and instinctive approach, nourished by urban culture and contemporary visual research.
Over the years, his painting evolves toward a rougher, more expressive handwriting, blending abstraction, free figuration, and the energy of the gesture.
Known for a distinctive and immediately identifiable universe, Skepa develops a powerful and vibrant body of work, regularly presented on the international art market.
