Christofle is a French silversmith and tableware company, founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle.

The company is known for introducing electroplated gilding and silver plating in France in 1842. The company was acquired in 2012 by one of its shareholders, the luxury group of the Chalhoub family.

The House Christofle relies on entirely handmade manufacture following traditional techniques. The precious crafts of turning-repoussé, planishing, chasing, engraving, which are carried on by its Master Silversmiths and Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, immortalize the qualities of elegance and excellence of all Christofle pieces. It is this irreplaceable human know-how passed on by highly skilled artisans.
