Description from the seller
Napoleon III Side Table with Jewelry Box – France, Second Half of the 19th Century
Elegant French jewelry cabinet table in Napoleon III style, dating to the second half of the 19th century, made of lacquered wood and finely hand-painted.
The piece features a curved, serpentine silhouette with sabre-curve legs, typical of the eclectic taste of the period. The front and sides are embellished with painted panels depicting gallant scenes and floral motifs, while the shaped top bears a refined central painted decoration, today pleasantly patinated by time with signs of wear that attest to its authenticity and charm.
The lid opens to reveal an interior completely lined in red capitonné velvet, with blue decorative buttons, creating a scenographic and luxurious effect. The presence of the original metal key with a wrought handle adds value and completeness to the piece.
A highly charming furnishing item, ideal as a coffee table, boudoir cabinet, or decorative element in classic and eclectic interiors.
Dimensions:
Height: 76 cm
Width: 56 cm
