Description from the seller
Napoleon III Era Jewelry Table Console – France
Elegant French jewelry table dating from the Napoleon III era, second half of the 19th century, characterized by a sinuous line and refined elegance typical of French taste of the period.
The shaped top is enriched with a delicate painted decoration depicting a gallant scene with figures and floral motifs, framed by brass filigree that follows the curved profile. The surface shows a natural crackle appropriate to the period, attesting to its authenticity and charm.
The front apron is adorned with painted reserves featuring musical instruments and floral motifs, enhanced by a finely chased bronze mouthpiece. On the front uprights are decorative applications in gilt bronze with Rococo-inspired motifs.
The four sinuous legs end in decorative bronze feet, giving the structure a sense of movement and lightness.
The upper top is opening and reveals an interior fully lined in gold-colored capitonné fabric, with original upholstery, ideal for storing jewelry and precious objects.
A piece of great charm and refinement, perfectly preserved and ready to be placed in classic or eclectic environments.
