Description from the seller
Slide projector “Pouva Magica” from the former GDR.
Produced from 1953 to around 1988.
Unmounted 35 mm slide projector.
From a collection.
Functional, with manual and original box.
The projector housing is almost entirely made of bakelite, only a few linking pieces are metal. As a light source, a simple bulb of power between 40 and 100 watts could be used. The simplicity of the construction also reflected in the sale price, the device was very affordable at 22.10 Marks and thus, over the years, established itself in thousands of households. The “Jugendbildwerfer,” as suggested by its name, was primarily intended to appeal to young people. The reproduction device, simple yet robust, was produced in Freital practically without modification until the end of the 1980s and delighted generations of families for several decades.
