This is a Kodak Retina I (Type 141), a pre-war folding 35mm produced by Kodak AG Stuttgart (1937–1939), complete with a brown leather case.
It mounts the Kodak Anastigmat Ektar 5cm f/3.5 (50 mm, 4 elements/3 groups, 10 blades) in a Compur-Rapid shutter (B, T, 1–1/500 s), Newton finder, coupled advance/rewind and release on the top plate (novelty of Type 141).
Icon of German photography in the 1930s (over 17,000 pieces), chrome metal body with black edges, compact closed body (12×8×3.8 cm, 465 g); perfect for vintage street photography, sharp and bright with the Ektar.
