Description from the seller
GERMANY. Regensburg. Pfennig. 1767.
- Denomination: Pfennig.
- Year: 1767.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: P F E N N I G, surrounded by a vegetal wreath, with an R mark at the bottom. Reverse: 17 · 67, with two ornate crossed keys, flanked by curved motifs and decorative dots.
- Grading: MS64 (PCGS).
Small silver coin struck in the Free Imperial City of Regensburg, corresponding to its eighteenth-century fractional currency. It features a civic and symbolic design, with simple typography well centered on the obverse, surrounded by a delicate late Baroque vegetal garland. The reverse shows the crossed keys, the city’s traditional emblem, executed with notable relief for its size, accompanied by the date split on both sides. A specimen in excellent condition for the type, preserving original luster, sharp relief and clean fields, with minimal post-mint surface marks typical of striking, offering a visual appeal far above the average for this type of coin.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
