Description from the seller
GERMANY. Nuremberg-Fürth. 20 Pfennig. 1920.
- Value: 20 Pfennig.
- Year: 1920.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: bust of Albrecht Dürer to the right, with a perimeter legend identifying the figure. Reverse: STADT NÜRNBERG-FÜRTH · NOTGELD · STADTKASSE · 20 PFENNIG.
- Grade: MS64 (NGC).
Aluminium Notgeld coin issued by the city of Nuremberg-Fürth during the postwar economic instability period in Germany. The obverse features the portrait of Albrecht Dürer, austere and well defined in style, with modeling appropriate for this type of local issue. The reverse shows the face value in the center, surrounded by the municipal legend, with a functional and symmetrical design. The specimen retains sharp reliefs, clean fields, and the original metallic luster, with minimal surface marks in keeping with its high preservation, making it a very attractive piece within the German urban Notgeld series.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to be absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
