Description from the seller
GERMANY. Prussia. Berlin. 2 Mark. 1901. Wilhelm II (1888–1918)
- Denomination: 2 Mark.
- Year: 1901.
- Inscriptions: FRIEDRICH I. 1701 with the busts superimposed of Frederick I and Wilhelm II and a commemorative legend for the bicentennial; on the reverse, DEUTSCHES REICH 1901 with the imperial eagle and the denomination 2 MARK.
- Grade: MS63 (NGC).
Prussian commemorative coin issued to celebrate the bicentennial of the proclamation of the Kingdom of Prussia (1701–1901). The obverse shows a powerful double portrait, of Frederick I — the first King of Prussia — and Emperor Wilhelm II, symbolizing dynastic continuity and the power of the Prussian state within the German Empire. The reverse presents the German imperial eagle with crown and central shield, finely detailed and with a strong heraldic presence. The specimen retains original luster with an attractive uniform patina and well-defined reliefs, in keeping with the MS63 grade, making it a highly representative and sought-after piece among early 20th-century German imperial commemoratives.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
