Helmut Gerigk, born 1953, here are 20 original acrylic artworks by the German artist, also called the German Dalí, in a signed folder. Here you can clearly see with every brushstroke the proximity to Salvador Dalí. The artist Helmut Gerigk was born on 14 March 1953 in Wiesbaden as the son of the government director Walter Gerigk. His artistic talent already showed itself in elementary school. Gerigk attended the Wiesbaden Free Art School under Professor Becker. Gerigk was a co-founder of the street festival “Theatrium.” Gerigk often visited his friend Salvador Dalí in Port Lligat / in whose house he stayed. Gerigk is a recipient of the Salvador Dalí Award and an Honorary Member of the Artists’ Guild St. Luke of Antwerp. Gerigk’s works are distributed worldwide and have been shown in over 100 exhibitions globally.
Style: Gerigk’s painting style represents classical Surrealism and is often described as a successor to Salvador Dalí. His works are characterized by surreal, dreamlike motifs that often pay homage to Dalí.
Influences: Helmut Gerigk was a good friend of Salvador Dalí, whom he visited repeatedly in Cadaqués from 1974 to 1979; he also visited Dalí often in the Paris studio. These encounters awakened his passion, visions and dreams to paint in fantastical images.
