Brass coin with the characteristic beaded edge, issued after the proclamation of the Republic of the Maldives. The reverse presents a symbolic set consisting of palm tree, crescent and star, flanked by national flags, in a sober and balanced style, beside the double dating of Islamic and Gregorian calendars. Uncirculated specimen, with visible original luster, light uniform golden patina, and scant contact marks typical of minting, offering a very attractive and well-preserved presentation.
