Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Noblet silver-plated B-flat clarinet, serial number 7705, likely dating from the 1940s, in excellent condition, detachable into three parts with a non-removable bell, supplied with a rigid case and ready to play at A=442.
Description from the seller
Silvered metal clarinet in B-flat, brand “NOBLET.” Its serial number is 7705, engraved on the upper and lower bodies. It was likely made in the 1940s.
It is in very good condition.
It can be dismantled into 3 pieces. Only the bell does not come apart.
The silvering of the body is 99% intact; there are a few wear marks on the edge of the bell.
The silvering of the keys is 100%.
Completely overhauled, it has just been refurbished by a professional luthier who has worked for 37 years in a large oboe factory and until 1992 with clarinets. The four low pads have been replaced with white leather pads by “Martin Chenu”; all other pads have been replaced with cork pads.
Note: Cork pads are more durable over time but are rarely fitted to clarinets as they are much more delicate to adjust, particularly regarding airtightness.
The corks on the tenons and the key dampers are new.
The clarinet has been carefully adjusted; it is ready to play; it is very easy to produce notes across the entire range, tuned to A = 442 Hz. It responds especially well with deep, powerful lows.
It is offered with an old-style case, as shown in the photos, without a mouthpiece.
