In addition to inheriting the interface and the programs of its predecessors, the SPX2000 brings a new dimension to sound quality thanks to the new REV-X reverb algorithm and the 96 kHz audio DSP. It also features advanced user interfaces.
The SPX2000 is the next-generation device in line with the DM-series digital production consoles, suitable for a wide range of applications, from live sound reinforcement (SR) applications to production studios where professional-level effects processing is required.
The heart of the SPX2000 is the 96 kHz audio DSP, with 32-bit internal processing (58-bit accumulator) that provides ample power to handle the effects algorithms. The 24-bit, 128-times oversampling AD/DA converters deliver a dynamic range of 106 dB and a response from 20 Hz to 40 kHz at a 96 kHz sampling rate.
The SPX2000 rear panel hosts an XLR jack and a 1/4-inch L + R INPUT and OUTPUT with +4 dBu/-10 dBu selectors for the analog connections.
Digital connections are provided via AES/EBU XLR I/O and BNC WORDCLOCK IN. MIDI IN, OUT/THROUGH and USB TO HOST are also available for remote control and data handling using computers, digital consoles and MIDI devices. The pedal switch jack allows control of the effects and tempo and is located on the front panel.
