The 3-head configuration of the RS-M63 allows you to do what most other cassette decks at similar prices cannot: monitor your recordings while recording. Moreover, thanks to the precise gap and the unique housing of the separate recording and playback HPF heads, you won’t have any azimuth issues. You will thus enjoy an extremely wide frequency response with CrO₂ tape and an incredibly fast response with metal tape.
As promising as it may sound, the double Dolby further enhances sound quality with distinct Dolby circuits for recording and playback. You can thus control your recordings while fully benefiting from Dolby noise reduction. A major asset for precise recordings.
The RS-M63’s fluorescent bar indicators (FL) are also notable, especially regarding dynamic range. With a response time of only 5 microseconds, they can react to the sharpest musical transients.
To allow you to fully exploit these capabilities, the RS-M63 features precise bias adjustment, giving you optimal quality for all tape types. Thanks to essential memory functions, such as auto-rewind, auto play, and auto review, you’ll spend more time listening to music and less time searching for it.
