Description from the seller

Very beautiful and antique centerpiece, table centerpiece signed "F. BARBEDIENNE" for Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810-1892), famous Parisian founder. It is also stamped with an "L" under the base. Estimated period: second half of the 19th century. It can serve as a trinket bowl or a centerpiece. Object of very good and fine manufacture with lovely details such as heart-shaped leaves for the handles. Ferdinand Barbedienne is considered one of the best French founders if not the best by specialists. In the center of the bowl, there is a medallion depicting the head of an ancient Greek woman wearing a laurel wreath and a knot at the back of her hair. Very good condition. Time has left its mark with traces of oxidation visible in the many photos. Please study the photos which are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: 15 x 18 x 24 cm. Weight: 1.17 kg. A note to collectors and lovers of beautiful decorative pieces. Fast and careful shipping.
