Key (3) Antique - Wrought iron keys

3 forged-iron keys from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The left key is remarkable for the paneton work; the cut is complex.
It is a display of mastery.
The ring-shaped form with mouldings (knob) worked beneath the ring.
Late 18th century – early 19th century.

The center key is very massive with a hook-shaped cut; it is a key designed to actuate a heavy bolt.
Mid 18th century.
Length: 17.5 cm

The right key is very massive with a single paneton cut in the shape of a hook designed to operate a heavy bolt, such as for a chest or iron door.
Heart-oval shaped ring.
End of the 18th century.
Length: 15.5 cm

The keys are forged iron with a beautiful patina.
