Byzantine solid silver cross, 8 cm long including loop, with four arms each terminating in a round medallion bearing the high-relief busts of the four Evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; dating c. 9th–11th century, in excellent condition, provenance European private collection, acquired in 2018, with a Certificate of Authenticity and legally acquired/exportable within the EU.

Solid silver cast cross, each of the four arms ending in a round medallion with, in high relief, the bust of one of the four Evangelists: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Exquisite.
Size: 8 cm L (including loop) - 3 1/8 inch
Material: Silver, 33.2 grms
Culture: Byzantine, c. 9th-11th Century A.D.
Condition: Intact
Provenance: European private collection, acquired in the London market before 2000s.
