French mantel clock with a gilded régule figure on a rose-veined marble base, dating 1850–1900, in a neoclassical Belle Époque style, with a mechanical Paris movement and half-hour and hourly gong striking, height 35 cm, width 38 cm, depth 13 cm, weight 7.75 kg, winding key included, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and fully working.

French gilded-regule mantel clock "Woman with the Ewer", late 19th century.
Elegant French mantel clock dating from the end of the 19th century, made in finely gilded régule and resting on a rose-veined marble base. The ensemble presents a decorative composition typical of the Neoclassical taste highly appreciated during the Napoléon III period and the Belle Époque.
The scene depicts a young woman dressed in antique drapery, seated beside the dial and holding a decorative ewer. A bird completes the scene on the upper part of the clock, providing a very decorative and balanced overall look.
The base is in veined rose marble and rests on four feet turned in gilded régule. The front is embellished with a cartouche bearing the inscription "L'Automne".
The circular enamel dial is white and decorated with a painted floral garland. It features stylized Arabic numerals as well as two winding openings.
The clock is equipped with a French mechanical movement, known as the Paris movement, with hour and half-hour striking on a bell. The movement bears a serial number.
The clock is complete with its pendulum and a winding key; it is functioning.
Good overall condition for its age, with light signs of wear and oxidation consistent with age, mechanism functional, see photos as they are part of the description.
