Description from the seller

Capodimonte porcelain figurine - N crowned

It is in excellent condition, except for a small loss at the front base, as shown in the attached photos.

In 1743 in Naples, Charles VII (the future Charles III of Spain) and his wife Maria Amalia of Saxony, driven by the desire to obtain porcelain similar to that produced by the German Meissen manufactory (Saxony), whose patronage had been entrusted to Augustus II of Poland (Amalia’s grandfather), founded the Real Fabbrica di Porcellana di Capodimonte in a building near the Palace of Capodimonte.

It is a piece of great beauty.
