Description from the seller

GENERAL:

Very well-maintained Porsche 911 SC Targa, manufactured in 1980. I have owned the vehicle since 1983, so it is a used car. From the very beginning the car has been treated with the utmost care and has always been professionally serviced. It is verifiably a German vehicle and explicitly not a US import.

BODYWORK AND PAINT:

The Porsche is in a very nice original condition. The paint is still the original factory paint and shows only a few, age-related stone chips. The body was hot-dip galvanised at the factory and is completely rust-free. Overall, the car conveys an exceptionally honest and authentic impression.

TECHNICAL DATA:

The 911 SC is powered by the reliable air-cooled 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine delivering 188 hp. The current mileage is approximately 170,000 kilometers. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2021 at 168,000 kilometers by a certified Porsche specialist in Alicante. All work performed is documented with invoices. During this overhaul, the fuel pump, pressure vessel, and fuel tank were renewed. The preheater and the fuel pressure regulator were expertly repaired.

INTERIOR:

The interior is in very good preserved original condition and underscores the authentic character of this vehicle. No modifications or adjustments have been made. The original Porsche radio is present, as are all characteristic elements from that era.

DOCUMENTS:

The history of this Porsche is exceptionally well documented. The original service book is fully present. All maintenance and repair work are supported by invoices. The vehicle was purchased new in 1980 at the Porsche Center Löhr & Becker in Koblenz. I repurchased it there in 1983. The corresponding documents of both purchases as well as all previous owners are available.

PICK-UP/INSPECTION:

The vehicle is currently registered in Spain. A viewing is possible by appointment. I am happy to assist you in organizing pickup or transport.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The Porsche is equipped with authentic and approved period-correct equipment, such as a front spoiler, turbo spoiler, Fuchs wheels, and track widening. The car comes with all original accessories, including onboard tool kit, a spare wheel with an electric air pump, and the original operating manual.

This Porsche 911 SC Targa is an impressive, authentic vehicle with demonstrable history and a rare opportunity for enthusiasts, collectors, and connoisseurs.

Several videos of the car are available on request.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
