Seelilien Seirocrinus subangularis aus dem  Unterer Jura, Posidonienschiefer-Formation von der weltbekannten Fundstelle Holzmaden, Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland.

Das Stück stammt aus einer alten Sammlung und wurde bereits vor Jahrzehnten präpariert. Die Seelilie befindet sich in der original Platte. Es ist eine Klebenaht im oberen Drittel der Platte erkennbar. Vermutlich wurde die Seelilie hier einst im Querbruch beim Sägen der Schieferplatten entdeckt.

Die Seelilie ist typisch für Holzmaden pyritisiert und hat daher stellenweise einen schönen leichten goldenen Schimmer. Am Stiel sind viele so gennante Cirri erkennbar. 

Die Platte wurde einst mit Schieferöl konserviert.

Der Ständer ist nicht Bestandteil des Angebotes und wird nicht mitgeliefert.
