Villeroy & Boch - Drinking set (12) - Crystal

Whisky glasses or cut crystal goblets from the Villeroy and Boch Manufacture in Luxembourg - Medici model listed in their catalog - of a slightly flared shape - at the bottom of the goblet an indented Gothic line motif that recalls the Italian Renaissance - stem slightly square - this model was produced as water glasses - wine glasses - orangeade glasses - no Manufacture mark - produced in the 1970s-1980s, at the same time as the Anabella collection.

The Villeroy and Boch Manufacture has existed since 1748 - based in Lorraine, France - it became Luxembourgish in 1760 - specialized in the production of Art of the Table porcelains - in 1843 it turned to crystal production - glassware.

Over the years it has managed to transmit its ancestral know-how and adapt its production to current tastes.
