Charming antique pendant created from a genuine gold 20 francs Napoleon III coin, dated 1867, mounted in a medallion in an ornate setting.
The coin is visible on both sides:
• obverse, laurel-headed profile of Napoleon III with the legend “NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR”,
• reverse, the arms of the French Empire surmounted by the imperial crown, surrounded by the legend “EMPIRE FRANÇAIS” and the facial value “20 F” with the date 1867.

The round setting foregrounds the coin with a beaded/corded edge giving a nice relief effect, with a mobile bail allowing the medallion to be worn on a thin or medium chain.
