Description from the seller
Important piano in black Belgian marble, inlaid with hard and semi-precious stones (malachite, lapis lazuli, agate, ...) made in the late 20th century.
The table was created inspired by Florentine Renaissance tables, preserved at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence. It represents a basket of fruit with flowers, supported by a festoon on which birds rest, accompanied by butterflies.
The top was created specifically for an important villa in the province of Pistoia, Tuscany. However, it was never used. It remained boxed for years, and the crater that contained it was opened to take the photos.
The table shows minor signs that do not compromise its overall beauty.
The top is round, with a diameter of about 61 cm.
It has a thickness of about 2.5 cm and a rounded edge.
The underside of the top is NOT polished; small chips are not visible from the top side.
The top has no base of any kind (no legs).
The table can be viewed in person, in Pistoia.
In case of purchase, direct collection is possible (Pistoia, Tuscany), or proceed with shipping.
The cost of packing and shipping within Italy is 150.00 Euro with insurance, in Europe it is 250.00 Euro with insurance. Other locations should be evaluated upon specific request.
Any customs costs, duties or other costs related to export/import are the buyer’s responsibility.
