Dimensions : longueur 16 cm – largeur 10 cm – hauteur totale environ 5,5 cm (couvercle fermé).

English version:
Rectangular lidded box in 24-carat fine gold gilded cut crystal, Val Saint Lambert Crystal Works, Belgium – Patrimoine Collection, model « King » reference 71901 (piece featured and illustrated in the official catalogue of the collection).

Rare and high-end model from the Patrimoine series, which elegantly reinterprets the historic Belgian manufacture’s heritage with contemporary lines: pure architectural form, flat lid with straight chamfered edges, exceptional crystal clarity enhanced by hand-applied 24-carat fine gold gilding on the exterior surfaces.

The main decoration, finely executed on the top of the lid, depicts a classical frieze of five draped female figures in Greco-Roman antique style: graceful dancers or bacchantes in motion, holding musical instruments and festive attributes, around a central altar or brazier. The silhouettes are delicately chased in fine gold on a subtle concentric circle textured ground (guilloché pattern), framed by a double gold fillet that emphasizes the rectangular proportions of the decorative panel. This refined iconographic motif gives the box a highly sought-after artistic and heritage dimension.

The lid seats precisely on the body with a clean closure; slight normal play at the crystal-to-crystal joints (characteristic of this type of assembly without gasket). Interior in mirror-polished clear crystal.

Condition: excellent and very well preserved overall. Only imperfection: égrenures located on the upper right side of the inner face of the lid (discreet flaw, nearly invisible when the box is closed, with no consequence on exterior appearance, stability or decorative value). No other marks, scratches, wear, gilding loss or restoration. The gilding remains bright, uniform and unaltered.

Dimensions: length 16 cm – width 10 cm – total height approx. 5.5 cm (lid closed).
Weight: approximately 1250 g (heavy and finely crafted piece).

Reference 71901 « King » belongs to the most coveted creations in the Val Saint Lambert Patrimoine editions: exceptional crystal quality, hand-applied gilding, sophisticated iconographic decoration and current market rarity.

Provenance: private Belgian collection, carefully preserved since acquisition in a protected environment.
