Description from the seller
EXCEPTIONALLY WITHOUT RESERVE
Fascinating 20th-century oil on canvas painting, depicting a evocative natural scene set in a forest at dusk.
The composition features three majestic deer immersed in a forest landscape wrapped in a warm golden atmosphere. Two specimens are depicted as they confront each other with their imposing intertwined antlers, in a dynamic and powerful scene that recalls the rituals of wild nature. Not far away, a third deer raises its head toward the sky near a small stream, almost breaking the silence of the woods with its call.
The artist builds the work with a warm, enveloping palette, dominated by golden and brown tones that enhance the depth of the forest and the light filtered between the trees. The animal figures are rendered with great attention to musculature and movement, while the surrounding landscape creates a suggestive and almost theatrical atmosphere, typical of European naturalistic painting.
Please note that, given the age of the work, it presents in generally good condition for its period, but may show slight signs of aging, small imperfections or minor losses, elements that attest to its authenticity and historical value.
The frame is to be considered a kind courtesy gift and is not counted as an integral part of the lot. In case of any damage to the frame during transport, it will not be subject to dispute or refund.
The photographs have been taken under direct spotlight to highlight every detail.
Our shipments are fast, professional, and with perfectly protected packaging: the related shipping costs derive from this.
According to current art regulations, shipments outside Europe (Schengen area) will be more expensive and could cause problems or delays, entirely at the buyer’s expense, unless private arrangements are made.
