It is quite possible that this Ngondi short sword originates from the Ngbaka, as a spider has been engraved on the blade. It is known that these knives could belong to the Ngbaka and spiders are a hallmark of their tribal society. The dotted markings are very finely executed along the entire center of the blade. One can notice on the knife’s pommel the great antiquity of this piece.
