Description from the seller

Vase Nous, Black as Night

"The Vase Nous was born from the project The narrative stems from the form; it is a reinterpretation of the object of the same name.
Just as with the first object of the project, this vase tells its story through a short narrative.

“This object is the symbol of our union. I entrusted myself to you and you entrusted yourself to me. From this mutual giving of self was born a common ground. A common ground that is not a fusion but a part of each of us that we share. A we that unites us to one another and on which I can count.”

This vase is made of two half-vases attached together by a rope that runs through it from end to end. This link ties the two halves together, giving them stability and balance. On this object I wanted to play with the contrast between an organic cord and a certain rigor in the design of the ceramic. In contrast with my previously very organic ceramic work, this vase plays with the techniques of molding to create planes, perforations, and an invisible pedestal.

Limited edition and signed of 8 copies

About Lucas Huillet:
Formed at Camondo School of design and interior architecture. This academic path opened doors to collaborations with prestigious houses and institutions.
In 2018, he created his studio as an exploration space where ceramics, interior architecture and object design intersect, based on expertise in working with natural materials, enabling him to design unique pieces that are at once everyday objects and fully-fledged works of art.
Today, the studio continues to combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation, aiming to create objects that carry meaning and authenticity.

Lucas Huillet’s creations have been exhibited notably at Paris Design Week, Collectible in Brussels, and Dubai’s Al Shindagha Museum."
