Set of two hand-made ceramic pieces attributed to Bitossi, Italy: a cylindrical-glazed vase (15 × 8 cm) and a wide splayed bowl (diameter 20 cm) with incised geometric decoration in blue and green, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Two-piece lot in glazed ceramic—a vase and a bowl—attributed to Italian ceramics of the late twentieth century, Bitossi school.
Both objects feature rich incised decoration with geometric motifs and a vibrant color palette in shades of blue and green, characteristics that recall the decorative language of Tuscan productions linked to the Bitossi manufactory and the Italian studio pottery tradition.
The vase, with a cylindrical form and a slight taper, displays a tactile surface with vertical incisions and layered glazes that create a vibrant and luminous effect.
The bowl, broad and flared, repeats the same ornamental motifs and the same color palette, forming a harmonious decorative ensemble.
The quality of the glazes, the stylistic coherence, and the artisanal workmanship suggest Italian or Mediterranean production from the late 20th century to the early 21st century.
Dimensions:
Vase: 15 × 8 cm
Bowl: diameter 20 cm
Period: late 20th – early 21st century
Origin: Italy (attributed)
Technique: hand-worked ceramic with polychrome glazes
Conditions: excellent, with no visible defects
Ideal lot for collectors of Italian ceramics and for modern, Mediterranean, or mid-century interiors. The two pieces, thanks to their strong chromatic and decorative presence, work perfectly as a coordinated set.
