Description
This is a vintage factory-sealed copy of the final studio album by Led Zeppelin, titled Coda. The release features the original Swan Song label branding and is housed in a gatefold jacket, which remains protected under the original shrink wrap. The album includes a collection of studio outtakes from various sessions spanning the band's career from 1968 to 1978.
Condition
Factory Sealed.
The item is factory sealed and has never been opened or played. The shrink wrap is mostly intact but shows some typical shelf wear for its age. There are small visible tears in the shrink wrap at the corners, and the jacket corners show minor blunting as seen in the photos. Some light scuffing is present on the surface of the wrap. Overall, it is a very well-preserved example of a 40-year-old sealed record.
Notes for collectors
This is a First US Edition of the album, which was released two years after the band officially disbanded following the death of drummer John Bonham. Coda serves as a powerful tribute to Bonham, featuring the track Bonzo's Montreux, a drum solo recorded in 1976 with electronic treatments added later by Jimmy Page. The album's artwork was designed by the legendary Hipgnosis studio, known for their iconic covers for Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Finding a first pressing in factory-sealed condition is becoming increasingly difficult, making this a high-value piece for any serious Led Zeppelin collection.
