Elegant oval box from the Napoléon III period resting on four ball feet.
The mount is finely chiseled with a rich scroll-and-leaf motif, characteristic of French decorative productions from the second half of the 20th century.

The lid is adorned with a relief medallion depicting an animated scene of chasse à courre with riders, horses and hounds in a landscape.
This medallion, made in patinated copper, features fine relief work and constitutes the central decorative element of the box.
