Een klokkenmannetje uit het Zwarte Woud (vaak een Schwarzwälder Uhrenträger genoemd) is uitgevoerd in de stijl van Zwarte Woud-volkskunst (Schwarzwälder Volkskunst), met sterke invloeden van 19e-eeuwse plattelandstradities. Het figuurtje draagt traditionele kleding ("Trachten") uit de regio Zwarte Woud, met kenmerkende hoed en jas. Het klokje symboliseert een venter die vroeger met klok op zijn rug door de regio trok. Hij verdiende de kost door de verkoop en reparatie van uurwerken. 
Dergelijke decoratieve objecten werden voornamelijk in de 19e en het begin van de 20e eeuw in het Duitse Zwarte Woud geproduceerd. De basis is sierlijk vorm gegeven en handbeschilderd.
De klok werkt goed en het opwindsleuteltje is aanwezig.
