There are two types of icons of the Holy Trinity - New Testament and Old Testament: the Old Testament Trinity is the image of the unknown travelers angels who came to the forefather of the Israelite family - Abraham. The New Testament trinity always depicts the old Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. It is called New Testament because all the fullness of God appears before people after the incarnation of the son of God on Earth. In theological language, the view that God is the Holy Trinity is called trinitarianism. According to Trinitarianism, God is one being who exists simultaneously and eternally as three persons (or hypostases) (God the Father, God the Word, i.e. the Logos incarnate in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and God the Holy Spirit), who together are the Holy Spirit Trinity.
