Description from the seller

Antique-inspired Louis XVI cutlery set (24) – silver-plated – Metal Blanc - Belgium – circa 1920 – original case

Elegant silver-plated cutlery set in Louis XVI inspired style, dating from the early 20th century.

The set consists of:

12 forks

12 spoons

The pieces are made of alpacca (nickel silver) and finished with silver plating, marked “ALPACCA 60”, indicating a quality silver plating grade commonly used in Central European tableware production during the early 20th century.

The handles feature a classical decorative pattern with cartouche and ornamental motifs typical of Louis XVI revival designs, widely produced in Germany and Austria during the interwar period.

The cutlery is preserved in its original fitted case with crocodile-pattern exterior and satin interior, typical of presentation sets from the period.

Origin: Belgium / France

Material: metal blanc, silver plated
Style: antique-inspired Louis XVI

Condition is good considering its age, with light signs of use consistent with normal tableware. The silver plating is well preserved.
