Single work by artist Basso Ragni (1921-1979 Livorno) - Tuscan School - who often signed his canvases with the pseudonym "Bani".
Technique characterized by vibrant and textural brushstrokes with an essential and immediate style.
The work depicts in a rural setting a knight with his back turned beside a Shire horse with saddle and reins in Moroccan red leather, in a color palette ranging from ochre variants to the white-black contrast of the coat and of the legs, which creates a harmonious and pleasing composition.
The work is in more than decent condition, protected by glass.
Canvas dimensions: 27cm x 24cm, with frame and mat: 42 cm x 40cm
