Description from the seller
Limited edition, Baccarat crystal trophy bowl from 2000, no. 699/2000, Harcourt model, in original box, complete with certificate. Comes from a store’s warehouse, used only for display. The Baccarat crystal is a luxury French crystal, famous worldwide for its exceptional purity, brilliance, and artisanal workmanship dating back to 1764. The Harcourt model is one of the longest-running. Created in 1841, it was reintroduced into the catalog in 1910 and has remained there ever since. Used, as in this case, to produce the important and rare “Pieces of the Year,” iconic large pieces. The bowl is gondola-shaped, the stem features a triple-button, and the foot is hexagonal. All cut from six broad elongated and flat ribbed facets that extend to the rim. It is made in “strong” crystal, i.e., containing a significant percentage of lead oxide, which increases its density, hardness, and light refraction, allowing these objects to become functional works of art. The bowl is in perfect condition, while the certificate and the exterior of the box show some signs, as in the photos. On the base are inscribed, in addition to the Baccarat crest and signature, 699/2000. Dimensions: height 32 cm, diameter 11.5 cm. Box dimensions: 19 x 40 x 16. Weight: 2 kg. In the auction, the following will be present: No. 707/2000 identical to this one; No. 226/250 of 1977 in blue; No. 226/250 of 1976 in red; No. 226/250 of 1979 in green. Photos are an integral part of the description. It will be carefully packed and shipped with insurance and tracking.
