I am offering this lovely antique hand mirror, a real little piece of Bordeaux history. It was manufactured by the famous glassworks A. Broquart for the 1895 Exposition. The decoration is typical of the Rocaille style, very elegant with its shell shapes and scrolls.
The mirror proudly bears its 130 years. The metal shows a patina of wear with a few small, normal scratches on the back. The glass is a bit “spotted” (small dark spots due to time), which gives it all its authentic charm.
It has remained exactly as I found it; no restoration has been done to avoid damaging its original appearance.
Everything is period. The mirror glass has never been replaced; it is the original, and the structure is solid.
