Description from the seller

Secretary with a fall-front, a curved pediment crowned with a carved crest, and a number of compartments and drawers behind the writing panel and three drawers at the bottom. The cabinet can be locked, and the locks feature real leg-shaped escutcheons. The cabinet rests on beautiful, graceful, turned legs.

The cabinet dates from the late 19th century (circa 1870–1900) and falls under neo-Rococo / historicising style; features from this period include the beautiful honey-brown color, the extravagantly carved crest on top, the curved lines, the turned knobs, and the graceful detailing.

Beautiful cabinet, fine original legs, key plates, fine woodcarving (not mass production but handmade) with slender proportions intended for a salon or living room, not for heavy daily use.

The cabinet is in a beautiful original condition.

The cabinet can be picked up in De Westereen; packing materials and assistance with pickup are available.
