An elegant piece from the Second Empire. This “handkerchief” style gaming table, typical of the Napoléon III era (circa 1900), is a refined witness to the French art of living. Its ingenious mechanism, designed for the salons of the Belle Époque, allows transforming a compact accent table into a full gaming surface with a simple rotation of the top. The triangular shutters open to reveal an original green felt and its four token wells carved.
Made of high-quality mahogany, it embodies the era’s taste for functional and sophisticated furniture. A belt drawer provides storage for game accessories, while fine light wood fillets highlight the finesse of its marquetry and its slender, tapered legs.
