Gold Nuggets- 1.22 g - (15)

These small nuggets come from the Guidimaka region of Mauritania, in the Sahel, about thirty kilometers from a town called Sélibabi.
They were found in a dry riverbed, a tributary of the Karakoro River, which forms the border with Mali.
I used a small dry dredge (dry washer type) and then a standard gold pan.
Of course, the photos are of the actual nuggets for sale, and I am sending you the exact nuggets shown in the images.
Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania's main resources, the nuggets are scarce on the market because almost all the gold is melted into ingots, which are then shipped to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
