Secrétaire à abattant - Mahogany

19th-century mahogany secretaire-bar with a drop-front and internal compartments, characterized by:
- a lower section with two large drawers and one less deep (within the base frame),
- a flip-front door, divided into a central area (bar-type) with an elegant transom with four columns and a mirror at the back, a single upper drawer and six lower drawers, of which four are small and two larger central ones that conceal the mechanism of two secret compartments,
- a upper section consisting of a drawer (hidden in the cornice at the top).
The mahogany piece presents a classic and elegant style, suitable for various rooms in the home, such as the study or living room.
CONDITIONS
The veneer shows signs of discoloration and some stains, and small pieces are missing (see photo); the back mirror in the central compartment has dark stains. All drawers and the drop-front open and close properly with a key (one key provided); the drop-front stays parallel to the floor, the mechanism of the secret compartments is functioning, the lock on the drop-front works well while those on the drawers are a bit stiff because they have been little used.
TRANSPORT: Only pickup in Milan (city center, 2nd floor with elevator) is planned by the buyer because to obtain a quote the destination must be known (including the floor and access conditions to the premises).
