AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

The µ[mju:] ZOOM was a fully automatic 35mm compact camera introduced by Olympus in 1993. It was very small and curvy for a zoom camera (the lightest in its class) with an integrated lens cover. It is switched on by shifting the lens cover to one side. Made in China, it was part of the hugely successful Olympus mju/Stylus series. Unlike the basic mju/Stylus, the auto-flash popped-up at an angle when used. Several versions were made for different markets, usually in black or silver, some with a switchable panorama mask and/or Quartzdate imprinting. DLX models could be controlled remotely and are weatherproof.

Zoom model:

Top Products 1993 (Lens Shutter Cameras), "Photographic Trade News" magazine, 1993
People's Choice Awards: Best Compact of the Year, "Photography" magazine (United Kingdom), 1994.
Top Products 1995 (Lens Shutter/Zoom), "Photo Trade News" magazine, 1995.

Zoom Panorama model:

G-Mark for Good Design, Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry, 1993.
Camera Grand Prix, Camera Industry Press Club, 1994.

The camera has been quickly tested and is working, there may be hidden defects. You might notice minor wear on the plastic parts. These are minimal and don't detract from the overall appearance and functionality of the item. I did not check cameras with film. In the set with original case.

Look carefully photos. Photos attached to the listing are part of this description.

I describe to the best of my knowledge and belief. Since this is a private sale, I do not provide any warranty and do not offer a right of return- consider this before bidding!
