Shelf - wood veneer

This redesigned wall shelf from the 1960s–1970s combines a minimalist steel frame with warm wood veneer and is typical of the reduced, functional design of the Mid-Century Modern period.

The shelf consists of a black-lacquered metal frame with a ladder-like structure, which carries four wooden shelves. The clear construction with diagonal struts and wall hooks recalls Scandinavian or German shelving systems of that era.

As part of the restoration, the furniture was redesigned and technically improved:
• the edges of the wooden panels were renewed, making the lines look clean and precise again
• the hooks/holders of the shelves were renewed
• the metal frame (ladder structure) was repainted, restoring a uniform and protected surface
• the wood veneer is in very good original condition and still shows the warm tone of the wood

Through these measures, the piece combines authentic vintage design with sturdy, durable use.
